The Friday of Autumn Glory is an unofficial holiday around here! I hope you enjoy your day and have a chance to enjoy all of our local food traditions! I’m looking forward to the Civic Club’s Maker’s Market homemade soup, a turkey dinner with “real” turkey 🙂 and an apple fry pie for dessert.

Before the Autumn Glory Festival (AG) became an annual event, a group of turkey growers organized and promoted turkey dinners started, initially, as the Garrett County Turkey Growers’ Festival in 1954. Now AG attracts more than 60 thousand visitors each October and in 2007 The Autumn Glory Festival was listed as the top fall festival in the world by the popular travel site MSN.com.

Here’s the updated list of Autumn Glory festival events one more time this week. Note, there were a few changes to the open hours for a few events.

The roadway at Sang Run Road Bridge will be re-opened to traffic TODAY Friday, October 15, 2021 at 5 p.m. Any questions can be directed to the Accident County Roads Garage at 301-746-8156.
