A COVID Positive At-Home Test Report Portal is now available for Maryland residents to alert the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) of a positive result from a COVID-19 at-home test. Patients can use the instructions provided with each test kit or patients can visit https://covidlink.maryland.gov/selfreport to report positive results directly to MDH.

In accordance with the school calendar, today, January 14, 2022 is a three hour early dismissal for Garrett County Public School students. The staff will be participating in staff development activities in the afternoon.

A recent study found that in Maryland, 8.3% of adults aged 25 and older live with their parents, compared to 7.3% of adults at the national level.

This Sunday, join for S’mores are for the Birds, and learn how to make your own bird feeders out of pine cones and other natural materials. Then, relax by the indoor campfire with a sweet treat and see what birds make an appearance at the Lake House feeders.

Gather ’round the fireplace and stay toasty-warm this Saturday for a free showing of Frozen. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase at the Snack Bar.

Also, join Ranger Noah this Sunday for this full moon hike on the Orchard Loop Trail. Enjoy the beauty of the forest under a full moon while learning about some of New Germany’s nocturnal residents.
