It was a very foggy night last night and fog will continue today. Showers expected today, tomorrow and Sunday. Temperatures will be in the high 50s and with a low of high 40s until Sunday with a high of 67 and a low of 36.

There is a flood watch for the entire weekend as we are expecting heavy rainfall and the ground has not had time to recover from last week.

DO THE DUNK! The 20th Annual MSP/NRP Deep Creek Dunk is tomorrow! Crazy fundraisers will brave the icy waters to raise money for the over 7,000 Special Olympics athletes. Even if you’re not crazy enough to dunk, it is a sight to see!

To commemorate the closing weekend of the Olympics, Wisp is hosting another Gold Medal Weekend with indoor and outdoor events from Friday through Sunday.

The Garrett Regional Medical Center Subacute Unit was recently recognized by the American College of Health Care Administrators as a recipient of the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. Way to go GRMC!

Well, there are lots of fundraisers, other events and entertainment around town this weekend. I want to call your attention to the benefit dinner on Saturday for little Grace Ann Fratz, who was born in November and who has already had two open heart surgeries.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is accepting public comment on the proposed 2018-2019 Migratory Game Bird Hunting Seasons until noon, March 14th.

The Mountain Maryland Tech Network (MMTN), of which Mike Tumbarello is a co-founder, is holding a networking event at Mountain State Brewing Company on Wednesday Feb 28th, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Mike will be there and will be bringing students from his Entrepreneurship class.

To TED or not to TED… The Ruth Enlow Library is hosting a variety of TED talks over the next few months. Great ways to meet people, learn and be “entertained” at the same time.
