Wisp Resort will host its annual Stage Wisp Concert Series during Summer 2024. The free 9-week concert series will showcase a wide variety of musical entertainment every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM in July and August plus the 4th of July. Beginning at 5:00 PM, the Farm and Art Market will welcome guests to shop and mingle with local vendors and artisans who offer an array of fresh produce, gifts, and unique goods. Join Oakland Library for an Inclusion Showcase, a collaborative Zoom presentation spearheaded by the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (LBPD) and Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT). The showcase informs the public about programs and services for Maryland citizens who are low-vision, blind, print disabled, or have other disability needs.

Check out the schedule for the 2024 Nourishing Neighbors Mobile Market & Resource Exchanges! Food will be distributed beginning at 11:00 AM on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 100 boxes. To receive a box, participants will be asked to complete a screener. Our Outreach Team, along with other Community Partners, will be joining the exchanges to provide health education and connect individuals to needed resources. New Germany State Park will host Junior Ranger "Park Pals", a free program designed for children ages 5-7, every Thursday from July 11 through August 8. Each week will feature a nature-themed program, such as identifying mammals, searching for amphibians and reptiles, fishing, growing mushrooms, and arts and crafts. All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian. The programs are free (supported by the Friends of New Germany State Park), but donations are welcome. Registration is required for each weekly program and space is limited. To register, please email noah.manges@maryland.gov.

This program will focus on a variety of instruments from around the world. Students will learn the history and mechanics of multiple instruments through videos and instructor demonstrations. They will also have the opportunity to explore each instrument in a hands-on manner. Come and learn about instruments from 5 continents! The Deep Creek Farmers Market is back for another summer of local fun, food, crafts, and music in 2024! The market will feature local produce, meats, eggs, honey, baked goods, flowers, prepared food, artisan crafts & more. Bring a chair or blanket for the lawn. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage. The campus has a strict no-alcohol policy. Your furry friends are welcome in outdoor areas as long they're leashed and under your watchful eye.
