It's monarch season! Help the naturalist search for monarch caterpillars to aid in the tagging program. You'll also become acquainted with the monarch's milkweed roommates.
Reflection House has embarked on a fundraising and public awareness campaign to support the Reflection House: Garrett County's First Residential Recovery House for Women. We also want to educate the community and eliminate the stigma associated with substance use disorder. This 2-mile trail route or 1-mile paved course is open to all as a way to unify and strengthen our community. We will walk to raise awareness about this important issue and share the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover. Join Deep Creek Lion's Club to throw some discs for a fun, low-pressure disc golf tournament to help raise funds and awareness for a new project at the park! One round, shotgun start, No OB on this course. Funds raised will benefit the community service work of the Deep Creek Lake Lions. This event highlights the All-inclusive Playground planned by the Club at the McHenry Community Park.
