Town of Friendsville Fall Leaf Pick-Up
The Town of Friendsville will conduct its Fall Leaf Pick-Up starting Monday, September 28, through Monday, November 23, 2026. Please follow these collection guidelines: Place all leaves at the edge of your property along the roadway in a pile, not a row. Ensure piles are free of sticks, branches, flowers, and other debris. Note that collection dates are weather permitting. Help keep Friendsville clean and beautiful this autumn!

Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for the lawn and their own non-alcoholic beverages, as the campus maintains a strict no-alcohol policy. Leashed pets are also welcome in outdoor areas.

Enjoy an afternoon in our reading garden, learning all about the world of bugs that slither and crawl. Books on bugs will be available to check out. This program is part of the Ruth Enlow Library's Student Discovery Series. Our volunteer presenters offer a wide variety of enrichment programs for K- 12 students and their families. Sang Run State Park’s Haunted Hikes
Sang Run State Park 3735 Sang Run Road, McHenrySang Run State Park presents Haunted Hikes on October 2nd & 9th, 2026! Enjoy a 1½-mile historic tour filled with tales of the unexplained under the park's dark skies. The hike begins sharply at 6:30 PM (please arrive by 6:15 PM). Terrain is light to moderate; sturdy shoes and a flashlight or red-light headlamp are required. Questions can be directed to reillee.beeman@maryland.gov.
