Town of Friendsville Fall Leaf Pick-Up
The Town of Friendsville will conduct its Fall Leaf Pick-Up starting Monday, September 28, through Monday, November 23, 2026. Please follow these collection guidelines: Place all leaves at the edge of your property along the roadway in a pile, not a row. Ensure piles are free of sticks, branches, flowers, and other debris. Note that collection dates are weather permitting. Help keep Friendsville clean and beautiful this autumn!

Jack O’ Lantern Carving
Join Rangers Noah and Hannah for an afternoon of pumpkin carving, just in time for Halloween! All supplies and pumpkins will be provided, as well as complimentary s'mores for afterwards, courtesy of the Friends of New Germany. To ensure we have enough supplies, registration is required. You can register by emailing hannah.muir@maryland.gov by October 24. All participants 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Swing Dance!
The Garrett Jazz Ensemble will perform on Sunday, October 25, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center at Garrett College. Led by pianist Dr. Sean Beachy and featuring vocalists Dave Callis and Debi Beachy, this 17-piece band is made up of talented local musicians. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy big band swing music from the 40s. Donations at the door will go to Hospice of Garrett County. Food & drinks are available for purchase, and cabaret seating is provided. Whether you're there to dance or listen, come on out for a fabulous evening!
