The group plans to meet on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9:00 - 10:00 am. Friendsville’s Makers Market is returning with a new date for its first event of the year, now scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This year features a total of three markets, showcasing local artisans, farmers, and growers in a celebration of small-town charm and community strength. While the May date has changed, the upcoming markets on July 18th and September 19th remain the same.

Bomber Down!

New Germany Lake House 403 McAndrews Hill Road, Grantsville

Retired Park Ranger Rick Lewis will be presenting this true story of a B-52 bomber that crashed in a snowstorm on Big Savage Mountain in 1964. Many local people played a role in the massive search for the plane and its crew, four of whom had ejected prior to the crash. Artifacts will be available to view, including one of the actual ejection seats from the aircraft.
