Performing Arts Center at Garrett College 687 Mosser Road, McHenry

Garrett College hosts the Joan Crawford Lecture Series, “Unlike Las Vegas, What Happens in the Womb Doesn't Stay in the Womb,” presented by Dr. Susie Mosser. Mosser specializes in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal bereavement, and women's wellness. This lecture explores how trauma and environment experienced in the womb can influence not only individual development, but future generations. Drawing on epigenetic research, animal studies, and original doctoral work, the talk examines intergenerational trauma, resilience, and why early environments matter more than once believed. All presentations are free, and the public and community members are invited to attend. For more information about the event, please contact Stephanie Miller at reference@garrettcollege.edu.
