Park PROs – Intro to Canoeing
New Germany Nature Center 403 McAndrews Hill Rd, GrantsvilleThis free, introductory class will teach participants water safety, canoe terminology, and basic paddle strokes on land before practicing skills on New Germany Lake. Space is limited to ten people and registration is required by contacting Ranger Julia Musselwhite at julia.musselwhite@maryland.gov. Paddlers must be at least 12 years old to participate and anyone under 18 years of age must have a responsible adult present during the class.
