Join Polska Polish Pottery of Deep Creek Lake for a weekly Tuesday Scavenger Hunt benefiting local charities! Sign up your team now (max of 20 teams) and get ready for a fun and exciting competition! The hunt begins at 9:30 AM (but teams are welcome to join until 6:00 PM) on Tuesday at Polska Polish Pottery at Dry Dock Plaza (next to McDonald's). Teams will receive the rules and will have two hours to complete a series of tasks. Each task earns points for your team. The top 3 teams will each receive a gift! Prizes will be awarded at 9:30 AM on Wednesday at Polska Polish Pottery. Team costumes are encouraged! The team registration fee is $25, payable at Polska Polish Pottery. All fees will be donated to a local charity! The Garrett County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. The Board will meet at Northern Middle School in the cafeteria. The meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed for public review. Public comment for the July Board Meeting will begin at 4:00 PM after which time the Board go into executive session until 5:45 p.m. The Board of Education will reconvene for public sessions from 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM. Time is set aside during the public session for the hearing of constituents at approximately 7:00 p.m. Please note, that this time is approximate, and public comment may be adjusted based on the timing of the presentations. Topics excluded from Public Comment include: Individual personnel issues Comments identifying individual students or staff members Matters that are on appeal or may be appealed Topics for which the Board schedules formal public hearings Advertising or solicitation for products and/or services The agenda for the Public Session can be accessed at BoardDocs.
