Save a Story: DIY Oral History
The Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett County will be holding two Save a Story: DIY Oral History program sessions on Monday, July 20, the first from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM at the Main (Oakland) Library and the second from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at the Kitzmiller Library. This program, presented by Debra Elfenbein, Maryland State Library Resource Center, will teach attendees how to take an oral history from start to finish. Participants will also watch interviews of the famous, under-recognized, and unfamiliar to learn effective and ineffective ways to save history.
This event is for adults and teens, and registration is required. To register for the session at the Main Library, contact Andrew at andrew@relib.net or 301-334-3996. To register for the session at the Kitzmiller Library, contact Diane at diane@relib.net or 301-334-8091.
