May 28 Joint Meeting: State Board of Education & Blueprint Board

The Maryland State Board of Education and Blueprint Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB) will meet jointly on Thursday, May 28, at 9:00 AM at the Nancy S. Grasmick State Education Building, 200 W. Baltimore St., in the Board Room (7th floor). The joint portion of the meeting will take place upon the State Board’s return from Executive Session.

The State Board and AIB will review various implementation priorities for the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future during the meeting. Priorities include reviewing additional targets for aligned metrics, community schools, and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Joint Vision Statement.

There will also be an update on changes to the school accountability system, as well as a review of the fiscal year 2027 budget and the recent legislative session.

Additionally, the State Board plans to recognize the new Teachers of the Year from all 24 public school systems during the meeting.
