Monday, September 16, 2024: The weather today will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the lower 70s. Except in the upper 60s at the higher elevations. East winds of around 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Garrett County Public Schools is seeking feedback on the proposed Virtual Learning Plan for 2024-25. Responses will be reviewed and shared with the Board of Education. Feedback is open from September 11 to September 25, 2024.

The Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area (AFNHA) is excited to continue its Indigenous Voices in Appalachia program with a special day of free events on September 21, 2024. This program celebrates the rich arts and traditions of the Cherokee people in Appalachia.
