Earlier this week I participated in the Garrett County DFCC (Drug-Free Communities Coalition) meeting. There were many local agencies represented – it’s so good to see the community come together to reduce substance abuse through three elements: Prevention, Intervention, and Recovery. At this DFCC meeting, I learned about the local Garrett Resource Center (GCSUDRC) for those who may be struggling with sobriety. NOTE: Any participation with the Garrett Resource Center (GCSUDRC) is voluntary and does not impact any government services. You can make an anonymous referral to GCSUDRC here.

Saturday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the lower 30s and a low of 27. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill values are as low as 13 below in the morning. Sunday will be partly sunny, with highs in the mid-40s and a low of 32.
