The Garrett County Health Department’s Overdose Response Program is hosting two Naloxone pick-up events on September 10th, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, at Mountain Lake Park Town Hall and the Outreach Center in Grantsville. Naloxone, used to reverse opioid overdoses, will be available along with instructions on how to administer it.
The Maryland State Board of Education will meet today at 9:00 AM at the MSDE building in Baltimore. The agenda includes a review of the 2023-24 Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program and a public hearing at 3:30 PM on the draft K-3 Literacy Policy. The hearing will accept comments from up to 20 people, with a virtual option available.
