Federal lawmakers have secured $1 million in congressionally directed funding to bring radiation oncology services to WVU Medicine Garrett Regional Medical Center (GRMC). Spearheaded by U.S. Sens. Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks alongside U.S. Rep. April McClain Delaney, the major healthcare investment will fund planning efforts to eliminate the need for rural Garrett County cancer patients to travel long distances for lifesaving daily treatments.
