Chamber Now Accepting 2024 Autumn Glory Royalty Applications at Deep Creek Lake, MD

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Autumn Glory King and Queen.

Students may download applications on the 57th Annual Autumn Glory Festival page of visitdeepcreek.com. Students are required to submit a 300-word essay detailing why they should be selected as the 56th Annual Autumn Glory Festival King or Queen. There is no longer an application fee.

If selected, the Autumn Glory King & Queen must be able to attend the following events (dates subject to change): Grantsville Days Parade on June 28, 2024; Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Boat Parade on July 6, 2024; Accident Homecoming Parade on July 4, 2024; Kitzmiller Homecoming on July 27, 2024; Friendsville Days Parade on August 17, 2024; The Buckwheat Festival Parade on September 28, 2024; Kick-Off Reception & Dinner on October 9; Fireman’s Parade on October 10; Banjo, Fiddle, & Mandolin Championships on October 11; Grand Feature Parade on October 12, Craft & Gift Sale on October 12 and 13, and various other events as needed.

Applicants must currently be Garrett County high school juniors who will be entering their senior year in the Fall of 2024. One male and one female applicant will be chosen, and each will receive an educational contribution. Completed applications must be submitted to the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce by Friday, April 26, 2024.
