Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) will dismiss students three (3) hours early on Monday, November 7, 2022, for Staff Development in the afternoon. GCPS will be conducting a variety of school-based professional development opportunities for staff based on identified needs in each building. As a reminder, administrative offices will remain on their regular operating schedule on this day.
All GCPS schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in honor of Election Day. Both schools and offices are set to resume normal operating schedules on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Additionally, due to Election Day, the November monthly Board meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 15, 2022, as previously announced. The public portion of the Board meeting is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Central Office Board Room, is open to the public, and will also be live-streamed for public review.
