Celebrating Mountain State Brewing Company’s 10th Anniversary

On Friday, August 24 a ceremony was held to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Mountain State Brewing Company in McHenry, MD.

Local dignitaries gathered to congratulate proprietor Erin Croake on the restaurant’s success and longevity. Julianna Albowicz from Senator Chris Van Hollen’s office and Robin Summerfield from Senator Ben Cardin’s Office presented Erin with senatorial citations. Connor Norman, Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats Committee, presented Erin with a certificate of recognition for Mountain State’s 10th Anniversary.

“We’re thankful to the Garrett County community for embracing us ten years ago. We wouldn’t be here today without the local support. And I’d like to thank all the employees that have worked for us over the years. It’s their hard work and contributions that made the brewpub what it is today. This community is filled with amazing people and we’re so happy to be a part of it.”

Mountain State Brewing Co. has grown to be one of the top distributing breweries in their home state of West Virginia. Ten years ago they brought their handcrafted ales to the Deep Creek Lake area, where beer lovers can sit on hand made saw horses and enjoy one of their four ales along with wood fired flatbread pizzas. Also on tap is their proprietary Sangria and MSBC’s original Root Beer. They invite everyone to come enjoy Mountain State’s brews, flatbreads, and extensive wine selection.

“Ten years in the restaurant/bar industry is an incredible achievement and we congratulate Erin and her team on their success,” said Nicole Christian, Chamber president & CEO. “Breweries and craft beers are flourishing and it’s wonderful that we have this type of attraction here in Garrett County. Cheers to another 10 years!”

Ground breaking, grand opening, and ribbon cutting ceremonies are just one of the benefits offered to members of the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce. If you are a Chamber member and would like to arrange such an event, or if you would like to become a member, contact Nick Sharps, Membership Manager, at nick@garrettchamber.com or (301) 387-5237.
