Laura Herrera Scott, MD, MPH, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health, has approved the appointment of Jennifer Hare as the Interim Health Officer for Garrett County, effective June 29, 2024. Ms. Hare will serve in this interim role until the recruitment process is completed.

Garrett County Junior Golf Tour Hits Lodestone for Third Tournament: Lodestone Golf Club was an excellent venue for their 3rd round, with players finding their groove and wild spectators like deer, turkey, bear, and snakes joining them. A morning putting clinic taught the kids about starting direction, distance control, and green reading, which they showcased on the course with their new skills.
