The 69th Annual Garrett County Agriculture Fair runs August 1st through August 8th, 2026, and organizers have released admission details ahead of the event.
Gate admission is free on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, with carnival rides available for $15 those two days (carnival open 5 to 11 p.m.). From Monday, August 3 through Saturday, August 8, admission is $20 and includes all carnival rides, all entertainment, and all track events for the day.
For those who don’t plan to ride the carnival rides, $10 non-ride advance tickets are also available. These cover entertainment and track events but do not include carnival rides, and they are not sold at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased at First United Bank branches in McHenry, Grantsville, Oakland, and Friendsville, as well as at Slopeside Market, Deep Creek Shop and Save, Double G, Freedom Ag in Oakland, and First Peoples Bank locations in Oakland, Grantsville, and Accident.
A few additional notes on admission: children over age 2 but under 36 inches tall may enter for $10 with no rides included, while children under age 2 are admitted free. Tuesday, August 4 is Senior Citizen’s and Veteran’s Day, with free admission for seniors 60 and up or veterans with proper ID, and free carnival rides for seniors and veterans until 5 p.m.
