The Adult Coloring Club meets tonight at the Accident branch of the Ruth Enlow library starting at 5:00pm. This ongoing program is intended to give adults some relaxing quiet time. All supplies are provided.

Congratulations to the 19 new Maryland Park Service Rangers that graduated Nov. 10 from Maryland Park Service Ranger School, which took place at New Germany State Park in Garrett County.

Speaking of the great outdoors in Garrett County, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced yesterday that it is continuing the Canada goose hunt on Deep Creek Lake and waterfowl hunt at Broadford Lake. Reservations are being taken for November 20-22.

Oakland, the Greater Oakland Business Association and their merchant members appear to have a whole bunch of neat events and promotions for the month of December. They are getting ready to issue their comprehensive flyer but you can go to their site now to see a schedule of some of the events.
