The weather for today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm; a high near 69 a low around 62.

Julie Iden, Children’s Specialist at the Ruth Enlow Library will be presenting Libraries Rock…Pete the Cat. Join them for stories, activities, and crafts based on the popular Pete the Cat children’s books series written by James Dean. The event is this morning from 10:30am – 11:30am at the Oakland branch.

There’s other Reading Club events at the Accident and Friendsville branches today as well as a Libraries Rock – Geodes and Fossils session from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in Friendsville

Don’t forget to visit the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market today from 10:00am – 1:00pm for a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables along with other locally made foods and craft items. We have heard they have dealt with the traffic “flow” issues they were facing.

There are free hay rides today at Sang Run State Park from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

The Greene Turtle is holding Psychic Paint Night this evening from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Come down to the Greene Turtle in McHenry and find out your fortune or who may be coming through to you from the other side. Yikes. The price includes everything needed to paint and psychic readings! And, of course, there’s great Turtle food, too.

The Stage Wisp Concert Series is hosting a free concert on the lawn this evening from 6:30pm – 9:30pm. The concert features Optimus Riff.
