The weather today will be partly sunny in the morning. It will then be cloudy with a chance of rain and a slight chance of snow in the afternoon—little or no snow accumulation—highs in the upper 30s and a low of 17. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Deep Creek Lake has been named a top location to look for a winter vacation home by Vacasa. Coming in at number 4, DCL market has a cap rate of 6.2% and a median home price of $439,367. “Given the pandemic, a second home offers a sense of security and personal space that a hotel or vacation rental may not,” said Joe Robison, data reporter at online moving resource MoveBuddha.com. “And with work-from-home protocols, the freedom to move between two different home offices could be tremendously attractive as it offers a change of scenery without the unknown variables of booking a vacation rental.”

By my count, the total snow accumulation here in Oakland was 14.75 since Sunday evening. The total for this season is still pretty low.
