The Garrett County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting next Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The meeting will be held at Southern Garrett High School in the cafeteria. The Strategic Facilities Committee (appointed by the Garrett County Board of Education to develop a long-term facilities plan for the school system) Recommendations and Final Report will be presented at this meeting at approximately 6:15 p.m. The complete agenda can be found here.

A state rating system, introduced last year, gives Maryland public schools one to five stars based on a variety of criteria — from student achievement on tests and attendance to whether students are offered a well-rounded curriculum.
