The weather today will be increasing clouds, with a high near 84 and a low around 63. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5pm.  Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

The Garrett County Public Schools board has voted 3 to 1 to universally mandate masks in school until there is “low” or “moderate”-level transmission rate (according to the CDC tracker) for two consecutive weeks. You can see the details of the live stream here (beginning at 3:26:50).

Garrett College’s new basketball coach, Matt McCullough, will be the youngest head men’s basketball coach in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference.

Each August, the staff of Garrett County WIC (Women, Infants and Children’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program) join the rest of the nation in celebrating National Breastfeeding Month. This year’s theme is Protect Breastfeeding: A Shared Responsibility.
