On Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM, volunteers are needed to help plant wildflowers in the Demo Garden at Deep Creek State Park at the boat launch dock. Rain or shine. The garden is located to the right of the dock by the lake shoreline. This garden is part of the 10% in 10 years revegetation of the buffer strip in a partnership between the Deep Creek Watershed Foundation, DNR Lake Management Office, and the POA. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves, shovels, and/or trowels and tick repellent.
