• Little Yough Family Flicks: “The Wild Robot” Screening

Oakland Mountain Fresh Pavilion 2nd Street Downtown Oakland, Oakland, MD, United States

The Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett County will host Little Yough Family Flicks’ presentation of the 2024 film The Wild Robot on Thursday, July 30th at 7:00 PM. The screening will take place at the Oakland Mountain Fresh Farmers Market Pavilion (at the Town Parking Lot). Dreamworks’ The Wild Robot is an animated adaptation of Peter Brown’s #1 New York Times bestselling middle-grade novel of the same name. “The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot – ROZZUM unit 7134, "Roz" for short – that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.” This event is made possible thanks to our generous sponsors – Oakland Chapter #67, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Friends of the Ruth Enlow Library. The Ruth Enlow Library serves the residents of Garrett County, Maryland, with branches in Oakland, Accident, Friendsville, Grantsville, and Kitzmiller. The library provides access to a wide range of resources, including books, digital media, educational programs, and community services.
