Vendors wanted for Civic Club of Oakland Third Annual ‘Anything Goes’ Event

The Civic Club of Oakland will be holding its 3rd Annual Anything and Everything Goes Event on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Mountain Fresh Pavilion in downtown Oakland. Hours for the event will be 9:00 AM to noon. Vendors will be able to set up their space beginning at 7:30 PM the day of the event.

“We had a great event again last year and hope for a repeat in 2023. This is our third year holding the “Anything Goes” flea market, and the money we raise will help fund three scholarships sponsored by the Civic Club for students at Garrett College.”  said Jean Tumbarello, event organizer. “This event is for people who want to sell their ‘stuff.’ Literally, anything and everything if it is family oriented. Makers, farmers, crafters and artists, home-based businesses such as Pampered Chef, Thirty-One, and Avon, and folks looking to empty out the attic or garage are welcome. The Club will be advertising the event on social media and around town with flyers and at the Chamber of Commerce. Foot traffic is very good with a lot of people out and about enjoying the spring weather.”

The event will be held at the ‘Mountain Fresh’ pavilion in downtown Oakland. Spaces under the covered roof will have one table provided for the vendor. Outside spaces will also be available, but vendors will have to provide their own table and canopy. All spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and vary from $45 for a corner spot to $20 for an outside space. Pre-registration is strongly recommended, especially if a vendor wants space under the roof or around the perimeter of the building where vendors will be able to back up their vehicle to the space.

“Pre-registration with ‘early bird’ pricing will be open until April 15. After April 15, prices will increase by $20/space. All spaces will be assigned,” said Tumbarello. “I encourage people to get register early to get the spot they want. Some vendors will reserve more than one space if they have a lot of stuff to sell. (Spaces are approximately 8 feet x 8 feet). There are only three corner spaces left. We have had a good response from vendors who participated in the event the past two years.”

The Civic Club will have its own ‘flea’ and plant sale tables and a table of homemade baked goods and hot chocolate. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, with the prize draw at the end of the event. The winner need not be present to win.
