The Town of Oakland is holding a special Council meeting to discuss outdoor dining in Oakland today – Tuesday, May 24 at 3:00 pm at City Hall. Business owners and town residents that would like to share a short comment may do so during a specified time at the podium.

The Deep Creek Watershed Foundation is offering a 2022 Virtual Brunch and Learn Educational Series, which is being facilitated by University of Maryland Extension in Garrett County. The next session will begin at 10am on May 25 and is free and open to anyone that is interested in learning more about Deep Creek Lake and surrounding watersheds.

Join Ktizmiller and Accident Library for Children’s Story Time as they look, listen, sing, and play while learning through stories, crafts, and other fun activities. Also, Oakland Library will be having storytime designed especially for babies and toddlers and a Kids’ Book Club for book discussion group for children in grades 3 through 5.

The Group Bike Ride will depart today at 5:30 PM from the parking lot immediately in front of The Tiny Corner Bike Shop. Riders are grouped by ability level, so no one gets left behind.
