The County Commissioners Public Meeting will be held this evening at Crellin Elementary School starting at 6:00pm.

Did you know that the Maryland Natural Resource Police force is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year?   They have a very rich history after being formed to combat pirate ships (really!) that were plundering oyster beds in the Chesapeake Bay.

Cindy’s Fund Cancer Support Group meets this evening at 6:30pm in the hospital boardroom. It is open to everyone – people with cancer, caregivers, kids, relatives, friends, anyone. We sit and vent and laugh and eat, etc. It’s very informal and comforting.

Deer been munching on your garden plants? Ready to put a “salad bar” sign on your lawn? The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has some suggestions for some native (non-invasive) species for your garden. These are all naturally not attractive to deer.
