Today is the last day of school for Garrett County Public School students! Also, apparently it’s National Corn on the Cob Day and National German Chocolate Cake Day! Let’s celebrate!

Friends of mine, Bill and Sally, are avid birders and are sharing their morning bird walks — meet at the park in Friendsville at 8 am. Friendsville has a habitat is ideal for the yellow-throated warbler, Black-throated green warbler, yellow warbler, blue-gray gnatcatcher, great crested flycatcher, kingfisher, wood ducks, solitary sandpiper, Baltimore oriole, and more!
