The weather today will be cloudy. There is a slight chance of rain in the morning, and it will then rain in the afternoon—highs in the lower 50s and a low of 45—south winds of 5 to 10 mph. The chance of rain is 80%.

It’s National Public Health Week (from April 4-10). This year’s theme is Public Health Is Where You Are, recognizing that where we are, physically, mentally, and societally, affects our health and lives.

COVID-19 testing will be held on Tuesday through Friday at the Garrett County Health Department at 1025 Memorial Drive in Oakland between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. There will no be testing on Mondays.

To help celebrate National Library Week 2022 and Garrett County’s 150th anniversary, the Ruth Enlow Library will be hosting a “Dinosaurs Rock” Museum Show at Kitzmiller Library and Accident Library tonight. I went last evening to the show and it was enjoyable. Not to ruin the surprise, but the kids even got to touch dinosaur doo!

Join Kitzmiller Library for Children’s Story Time as they look, listen, sing, and play while learning through stories, crafts, and other fun activities. This program is geared toward children ages 3-5. Another Story Time at Oakland for Ages 6-36 months. This program stimulates children’s language development and social skills through stories, music, rhymes, and other activities.

Join Mountain State Brewing Co. tonight as they raise money for the Accident Elementary PTO! Present the flyer, and 10% of sales will go directly to Accident Elementary.

The Weekly Rides are back! These rides depart from the parking lot immediately in front of The Tiny Corner Bike Shop every Tuesday at 5:30 PM and every Saturday at 9:00 AM during the late spring, summer, and early fall.
