ASSE International Student Exchange Programs (ASSE), in cooperation with your community high school, is looking for local families to host boys and girls ages 15–18 for the next academic year. Students from all over the world – places like Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Ukraine, to name a few – are excited to study in the USA; all they need now is you!

COVID-19 testing will be held on Tuesday through Friday at the Garrett County Health Department at 1025 Memorial Drive in Oakland between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. There will no be testing on Mondays.

Join Kitzmiller Library for Children’s Story Time as they look, listen, sing, and play while learning through stories, crafts, and other fun activities. This program is geared toward children ages 3-5.

Join Oakland Library for a storytime designed especially for babies and toddlers. This program stimulates children’s language development and social skills through stories, music, rhymes, and other activities.
