Ski Etiquette

Resort-groomed trail.

  • Stay in control. Be able to stop or steer around people and objects.
  • People below you have the right of way. It's your job to avoid them.
  • Don't stop where you block a trail or can't be seen from above.
  • Look uphill and yield when you start down or merge onto a trail.
  • Use leashes or ski brakes so gear can't run away.
  • Obey signs and closures. Stay off closed trails.
  • Know how to load and ride the lifts before you get on.
