The Ruth Enlow Library is holding the first discussion about this year’s One Maryland One Book. A discussion on “What The Eyes Don’t See” by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha will be at the Accident Library at 11:30am. The second discussion will be October 16th at the Oakland Library at 6:00pm and the third discussion on October 21st at the Grantsville Library at 6:00pm.
A Jazz Night Fundraiser for, “It’s In The Bag” is tonight from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $30/each to help support and fund meals for local kids. Plan to stop by for a nice evening event.

The SavageMan Triathlon is this weekend — there are several different courses and race distances happening. It all begins at the Deep Creek Lake State Park tomorrow at 5pm.
A reminder: Lake Management reported that the boat ramp will be closed at the DCL State Park this weekend because of the Savageman race.

Several Negro Mountain Elevation signs have been removed from local roadways. The signs seem to be missing and the story behind the mountain name could be one of three stories.
