October 28th is Garrett County’s Drug Free Communities Coalition “Take Back Day,” where County citizens can bring in over-the-counter and prescription medications to McHenry Police Barracks, Garrett County Sheriff’s office and Oakland City Hall.

Plenty of good fishing at Deep Creek Lake and throughout the state for all of you anglers.

Remembering our local and national military: On November 10th, Garrett College will take part in a nationwide effort to honor American service men and women who died in Iraq and Afghanistan during the past decade by holding a Remembrance Day National Roll Call in the auditorium located on the McHenry campus.  The event starts at 7:00am and runs into the afternoon.
