I have been hearing about a new venture coming to downtown Oakland. Actually, it is two ventures in one. Flipside Sounds, with a planned opening in July, will be offering new and vintage vinyl records and related items. The Sipside Lounge, with a planned opening in October, will be offering craft beers, and fine wines and spirits. Sounds interesting.

On this last day of May, I thought I would share a few “tidbits” on the month: May is named for Maia, a Greek goddess. In any given year, no month ever begins or ends on the same day of the week as May does (no, I did not verify this). And, “across the pond” in the UK, the month of May is recognized as national smile month. Talk to you “next month!”
