The Southern Garrett Band Boosters and band members will be wrapping gifts in the old Jan’s Florist building from 10-2 on Saturday, Dec 18 (in Downtown Oakland). There is no set price the work is by donation only.
Would you like to brighten someone’s day this holiday season? The Dove Center is selling and delivering beautiful, 10-inch poinsettias. For a $50 donation: one 10 inch poinsettia with a card, delivered or a $100 or higher donation: one 10 inch poinsettia delivered by our own personal elf, Sparkles. Sparkles will arrive in costume and brighten the recipient’s day. Tomorrow is the last day for deliveries (within a 20 mile radius of McHenry) so order soon!
Our neighbors in West Virginia are holding a “Kentucky Donation Drive” — you can make a monetary donation online or help by “filling the trailer” with donations that will be taken directly to Graves, Kentucky. Drop off Locations are Pizza Pro in Bruceton will be a designated drop off location during business hours, Prodigi in Hazelton will be open for drop off Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or the Markleysburg VFD on December 19th from 1-4pm and December 28th from 5-7pm.
