Southern Garrett High School juniors were invited to attend “Junior Preview Day” hosted by Garrett College on Friday, May 26th. Sixty students participated in the event, which offered them a more in-depth look at all Garrett College provides.
Students were first greeted in the new Performing Arts Center by the college president and other faculty and staff members. From there, they split into small groups. Next, they toured around the campus, learning about different opportunities from the college’s credit side and the other available workforce training programs & certifications. Finally, the students wrapped up Junior Preview Day in the CARC gymnasium with a brief overview of the college’s athletic programs. The students were accompanied by SHS staff members Mary Keller, Maria Zumpano, and Catie Baker.
