Elementary schools throughout Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) participated in one of two regional unified bocce tournaments on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Schools from the northern area elementary schools traveled to Northern Garrett High School (NGHS) to participate, and students from the southern area elementary schools traveled to Southern Garrett High School (SGHS) for their match.
Friendsville and Route 40 Elementary schools were co-champions from the northern region, and Crellin Elementary was the champion for the southern region. All teams will advance to the county-wide tournament at the C.A.R.C. at Garrett College on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 9:00 AM. This is the inaugural tournament, and GCPS is leading the way across the state in implementing this program and unifying students in all elementary schools.
