On July 27th Deep Creek Lake Lions Club president Mike O’Brien made the “trip” to Oakland and gave a presentation to the Oakland Rotary Club members and guests at their regular Thursday Noon meeting at the VFW hall. The presentation provided an overview of the Lions’ historical and current efforts around the lake and in the county and was followed by a good sharing of information from Rotary members and lots of questions from both groups. The hope is that through mutual sharing, both community organizations can better understand and support the other’s mission and initiatives and hopefully collaborate on future efforts to benefit the community.
