We have seen social media rumblings that the Rock Maze trail is now “gone” – we have a message into the Swallow Falls staff to get the full details.
Plan on the 2019 People’s Choice reception event on Wednesday evening … free food and a good time to celebrate the local “favorites”.
The Daily American reports that Maryland Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn has reached out by letter to his counterpart in Pennsylvania, Leslie Richards, and proposed the states join together to apply for federal funds to finish the last 8 miles of Route 219. The project would connect the four-lane highway in Meyersdale to Interstate 68 in Garrett County, Maryland.
