Happy Valentine’s Day!????

The weather today will be partly sunny. Scattered snow showers in the morning with little or no additional snow accumulation—highs in the lower 20s and a low of 12. West winds of 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of snow 30%. Wind chill values are as low as 5 below. The chance of rain is 75%.

There was sort of a surprise snow over the weekend — I measured 2 inches yesterday morning and 2.25 inches this morning. It’s light and fluffy and oh-so pretty!

Was someone from your hometown in the Super Bowl? Here are a few interesting infographics related to the Super Bowl from US Census Bureau.

I’m planning on this: celebrate Valentine’s Day by cross-country skiing on a candlelit trail. The Turnpike Trail (blazed green) at New Germany State Park will be lined with candle luminaries until 8pm and cross-country ski rentals will be available throughout the evening. My friend just shared that they will be grooming the trail and that should make for a good evening skiing!

Don’t forget to treat your sweetheart! The MoonShadow will be providing unforgettable and romantic meals. If you stop in tonight, the restaurant is offering a half-price appetizer with the purchase of 2 of our delicious specials!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Penn Alps Restaurant & Craft Shop with their Dining Specials.
