Over 22,700 trout were stocked this past week by crews across Maryland; included in the total count were trout stocked in the following Garrett County waters:
- Casselman River (delayed harvest): rainbow trout
- Deep Creek Lake: golden and rainbow trout
- Youghiogheny River (delayed harvest): brown and rainbow trout
Maryland will increase access to free and reduced-price school meals as one of eight states selected by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to participate in its Direct Medicaid pilot project.
