The area temperature seems to be cooling off a bit. Today’s weather will be partly sunny, with a high near 80. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm; chance of precipitation is 30%. Low around 67.

I heard the “secret” Speakeasy Saturday night at the Courthouse in Oakland went very well, with some really nice costumes.  Here’s a photo of some attendees before the event at the Manor Steakhouse.

While us adults are still having fun, Garrett County kids start school today! Good luck to all for a great school year!

Watch out for jaws! There’s an Aquatic Adventure this afternoon at 2:00pm at the Discovery Center. Check out Deep Creek Lake fish and other critters, starting in the discovery room and then moving out to the dock.
