First-Ever Driving Course Added to Existing Agency Branch Office
WHAT: The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil a new non-commercial driver’s license skills test course at its Oakland branch office. This new test course—the first ever added to a standing MVA branch—will provide local residents with a closer option to take their non-commercial driver’s skills test. Previously, Garrett County residents who needed to take their road test had to schedule a visit to the Cumberland branch.
As part of its mission, the MVA continues to find ways to improve access, enhance customer experience, and prioritize roadway safety statewide. The Oakland driving course sets a precedent for future initiatives aimed at better serving rural and underserved areas of Maryland.
