Hey Sugar by Mullenax Bakery is officially opening its doors in downtown Oakland, bringing a new spot for sweet treats, candy and specialty drinks to the community.
The shop will celebrate its Grand Opening today, Tuesday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 255 N. 3rd Street, Oakland, Maryland.
Hey Sugar is a new concept from Mullenax Bakery, combining the baked treats customers already know with a fun, colorful candy-shop experience. Visitors can stop in for cupcakes, cookies, brownies and more, browse a selection of candy, or grab a specialty drink.
The new storefront is designed to be an easy stop whether customers are looking for an afternoon treat, something to take to an event, or simply want to see what’s new in downtown Oakland.
The Grand Opening will give the community its first chance to experience the new shop and celebrate the next chapter for Mullenax Bakery.
“We can’t wait to celebrate with you!” owner Marissa Mullenax shared in announcing the opening.
