Herrington Manor State Park borders Garrett State Forest, and the trail networks connect. The yellow and blue trails are inside the park; the orange trail and the 5.5 Mile Trail continue into the forest, where hunting is allowed in season. Snowmobiles are not allowed in the park; they use the green-blazed Snaggy Mountain trails in the forest.
